JIM ZINSER: PRESIDENT OF J BAR J RANCH,
INC
Jim is essentially a self-made man. In 1969 Jim
and Margaret Zinser purchased the old Brahma
Town Rodeo company. What started with 40
acres and 45 head of cattle has evolved into J
Bar J Ranch—600 acres of rolling farm land that
is home to 500 head of rodeo stock, including
horses, cows, calves, and bulls. Jim and
Margaret Zinzer’s livelihood is this ranch and
rodeo provides the means for everything they do.
MAGGIE ZINSER: VICE PRESIDENT OF J BAR J
RANCH, INC
Maggie has been the secretary at the Great Lakes
Circuit Finals two times. Maggie has also
timed the Ak-Sar-Ben's River City Roundup Tour
Rodeo in 2007.
SHANNON ZINSER: SECRETARY AND TIMER
Daughter of Jim and Maggie Zinser, works for J
Bar J Rodeo as Secretary and Timer. Shannon is
also heavily involved with the opening pageantry
at the rodeos. She has run barrels since she
was old enough to be on a horse. Shannon has
timed the GLCF Rodeo 3 times and the
Ak-Sar-Ben’s RiverCity Roundup Tour Rodeo in
2007. If there is a truck leaving for a rodeo,
you can believe Shannon will be in it.
CODY ZINSER: PICK-UP MAN AND CREW
FOREMAN
36 years old, son of Jim and Maggie Zinser.
Works for J Bar J rodeo as a pickup man and
prepares the arena for the rodeo. He has been a top 12 steer wrestler in the
Great Lakes Circuit and competed in
Louisville, KY at the Great Lakes Circuit
Finals in both the capacity of pickup man
and steer wrestler. Raised in rodeo with
love for baseball and football all through
high school. JAYCE JORDAN
Granddaughter of J Bar J, daughter of Shannon.
Jayce was born into rodeo but has loved it from
day one. Born in April she first traveled to
Las Vegas, NV for the WNFR the ripe age of 7
months and has not missed one since. She owns
horses, bulls, calves and cows on the ranch and
knows which ones they are. She loves school,
rides her bike, rides her horse, has two (lynx)
cats, Minnie and Rosie that keep her busy while
at home. She is involved in feeding and care of
livestock and loves animals. JOSH DOHME: FLANKMAN AND CREW
Came to work
for J Bar J Ranch in 2007 as the rodeo flank
man. Josh is in the drivers seat when it comes
to horses. He is careful with each horse and
addresses each one of them as an "on site" job.
His first year he went to Las Vegas and became
well known when Delta Ship, the arena record
high mark ride holder, jerked him off the chutes
and out into the arena because a strap wrapped
around his wrist. Everybody knew Josh Dohme
then!!! A great young man with outstanding work
